About us
Sankalp Group is purely a Non Govt. Social Service Group having a non political, non religious and non commercial character and is mainly engaged in imparting completely free education to the children from the families belonging to Economically Weaker Section and backward class of the society. Parents of these children are mostly laborers who live in slums, Jhuggis (mud or polythene hutments) and are not able to get their children admitted in public schools or even in Govt. run schools due to poverty and illiteracy. Illiteracy is a curse and the Sankalp is poised to eliminate it to the best of its capacity and ability.
Activities
Free education for street/poor children
Sankalp Group has been running regular classes in the afternoon only for these poor children at 2 centre’s in the following schools completely free of any charges:
To open new centers in rural and semi-urban areas of national capital region (NCR) and other backward regions of the country to educate all the children of school going age, not able to attend any school due to poverty.
To open more vocational training centres for poor destitute and village women to help them become self-supporting.
To start more mobile charitable allopathic dispensaries to serve the poor in the areas deprived of medical facilities
To start short duration vocational courses for the students after class 10th and make them self-supportive.
Activities :
· Imparting completely free vocational training of tailoring, knitting & embroidery to about 60 poor & destitute women
· Running free literacy programme for adult poor working women.
· Running health care programme for poor and deprived ones through Six charitable allopathic dispensaries including one mobile dispensary and by organizing free health check-up camps from time to time.
· Organising blood donation camps.
· Computer Education - From current session, basic computer education has been made part of the syllabus for students of class VI onwards
· Multipurpose Concession Card. (This Card is Valid in Hospitals, Laboratories, Restaurants, Cyber Café, Gym, Shopping Centre etc.)
